Research has shown that one hallmark of a thriving, healthy congregation is that the people take care of the buildings and the grounds. In the Old Testament book of Nehemiah 4:6b, it says, “for the people had a mind to work”.
Both of those statements were seen today at Sapling Ridge!
No tree was left unmulched, no bugs left in the window sills, no piece of garbage left behind. Even the basketball court got a good scrub. We are getting ready for our guests who will join us on Homecoming Sunday, May 5. But the work was not just the superficial that people may see. The work went deeper and showed a care and concern for the blessings God has given us.
Thank you to all who worked inside and outside, who gave of your time for a little bit of sweat equity, to show to our community that we are a thriving, healthy congregation, ready to welcome all who enter our doors.
