Hickory Grove GMC welcomed members of the Siler City district to their church on Sunday, 7/28, The welcome started at the driveway with their sign and continued on into the church.
Pastor Carlos enthusiastically welcomed everyone and Pastor Kerry of Goldston GMC offered opening prayer. Pastor Lilli led us in the Affirmation of Faith. We then sang several songs. Our own Pastor Jason offered joys and concerns for the group. Pastor Steven of Center GMC offered scripture and a message that we need to be focused on God and what Jesus did for us and not on the culture of the world.
Following that we celebrated Communion and Pastor Linda of Meroney shared that Pastor Kerry and his wife are volunteering at GMC General Conference in Costa Rica in September. Volunteers are responsible for their own expenses. A love offering was collected and we are giving them over $400 toward their expenses. Linda closed with the benediction and we went to the Fellowship hall for a meal.
The Fellowship hall was alive with great food and great conversation. Thank you Hickory Grove for all of your hospitality.
