ACC Tournament Starts 2/29/24

For Sapling Ridge GMC, ACC stands for the Amazing Collection for CORA. Food insecurity is not just at Thanksgiving or Christmas. There are people in Chatham County that go hungry. And we hope to love our neighbors by collecting items for CORA and have a little fun at the same time.

You are invited to bring food items or paper goods to church or make a financial donation beginning on Sunday, 2/29 through 3/8/2024. Items should be placed in the room behind the piano in the Sanctuary. And you should place your items in the bin for the university in the Triangle that is going to do the best in the ACC Men’s Basketball tournament which starts 3/12.

One item of food equals one vote. That can be a can of veggies, a jar of peanut butter or a bag of beans. If you donate a multi-pack of something, like toilet paper or a case of veggies, each item in the multi-pack counts as one vote. One pack of toilet paper that has 36 rolls counts for 36 votes. And if you wish to give money, one dollar equals one vote. If you write a check, make it to Sapling Ridge GMC and in the memo enter CORA and the team you are voting for so it gets applied correctly.

On Sunday, 3/10 Pastor Jason will be wearing a jersey of the colors of the university that gets the most donations. And the winner really will be CORA and the Chatham County citizens who benefit from our generosity and witness.

Let the games begin!
