We had a special Announcements time at church. We are lucky to have three high school graduates, Gavin, Corrine and Cole. They came to the front of the church, complete with cap and gown, to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance. And then Pastor Jason said a special prayer for them as they finish this chapter of their lives and begin the next one.
During the Praises and Concerns time, teachers reminded us to pray for the kids, at all grade levels, whom they have nurtured for the past year and how some of those children are sad to be leaving their teachers. And the teachers asked prayers for themselves as they also said goodbye to the children.
Carolee, our pianist, was away at a conference this week and we were honored to have Oliver Mitchum provide music for us. He made those Baby Grand keys sing praises to God. Thank you, Oliver!
