Easter Worship, 4/9/23

The day was a bit cool but at least no rain. And the sunshine just reminded us that Easter is a day of life and resurrection. We had some resurrection buns in the Fellowship hall before church and then during worship, we had wonderful music from our choir and Randy. There is simply no better music than Easter music!

Pastor Jason preached from 1 Corinthians 15 and how some in Paul’s time denied the resurrection of Jesus. Jason shared that if there had been no resurrection then we should be pitied. But we are people of hope and people who live Easter every day, not just one day each year. We are challenged each day to follow Jesus, by denying ourselves and picking up our crosses. We are new creations in HIm.

Following the worship, we went outside and released the butterflies that we had seen start as tiny caterpillars then go into chrysalis and finally into beautiful butterflies. We, too, can go from tiny worms to beautiful creations of God, just by believing in Jesus as our Savior and following him.

Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen, indeed!
