Today, GMC churches in NC, met in Greenville, NC to celebrate the work that has been done over the past 90 days since the creation of the NC Provisional Annual Conference. Covenant Church hosted the event and provided uplifting music with their house band.
David Banks, President Pro Tempore of the Conference and Kari Howard, VP Pro Tempore, shared the message of being the First Fruits of this new branch of John Wesley’s Methodist tree. Jerry Lewis, who is the leader of the Transitional Council, shared the history of getting GMC going in NC. Kari shared how the NC Conference stretches from Manteo to Murphy, no dividing lines, and there are 200 churches joining from Western NC in the next few months. And she announced that the first Annual Conference and Ordination will be held October 5-7, 2023 in Fayetteville, NC.
